I love Mt. Auburn Cemetery. We took a morning walk there yesterday. A beautiful setting, fascinating gravestones and memorials, flowering trees and shrubs, small lakes, and for someone who loves plant identification—labels on almost every tree. Some have the date planted as well as the Latin and common names. I saw a maple planted in the year the cemetery was founded—1831.
