We shall find peace

A request from Exeter Center for Creative Arts for snowflakes for the Festival of Trees inspired me to make the first. I liked it so much I decided to make more. There are traces of friends in them. I used a shaped snowflake card from my friend Steph as the pattern. The lines from Chekhov came from a Christmas card created by friend Norma.

Here is the photograph I used for the background—sunset on the first night after we changed the clocks.

I'm amazed at the power of these silver dots. They really transform the snowflake into something sparkling and alive. I used a marker recently added to my collection—a Faber-Castell Pitt artist pen, silver 251.
