Sixth Day of Christmas-Exchanging Greetings
Year's end brings Old Lang Syne to the radio and thoughts of friends old and new, near and far.
And there’s a hand my trusty friend !
And give us a hand o’ thine !
And in Burns's Scots versions:
And there’s a hand, my trusty fiere !
and gie's a hand o’ thine !
I am spending some time today with the handmade cards on display in our "library."
from Nancy Hajeski who writes as Nancy Butler and a beautiful tribute to her father who passed away recently.
from Norma McKenzie, quote by Dale Evans
card tucked in the back—"I wish I were in Marrakesh" from Catherine Whiteman with a beautiful quote inside by Marcus Aurelius:
When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive—to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.
from Jean Norman Clancy
made by Anne Mulvey. I love that it was inspired by The Gathering of Gifts workshop in early December at the Center for Creative Wholeness.
from Karen Hanmer. Bob and Karen visit Mies van der Rohe's Farnsworth House in Plano IL.
Janet Lambert Moore's card was the winner of the State House Holiday Card Contest.
from Tom Costello, quote from Joseph Campbell
Peace on Earth from Jenny Groat
from Betsey Bolton
from the Book Arts Program at the University of Utah
from Cathy and Brian, a card I made with a photo I took of their new dog Mimie. Isn't she a beauty?
Tucked in the back, a card with three poems of Valerie Wohlfeld published in Arion.
from Deb Delmore and Doug Shane
