Eighth Day of Christmas
One of my favorite seasonal evergreens-the yew, Taxus bacatta. Here is a quote from Wordsworth's poem "Yew Trees."
"Of vast circumference and gloom profound
This solitary Tree! -a living thing
Produced too slowly ever to decay;
Of form and aspect too magnificent
To be destroyed. ......."
