Forty Years #21: Calligraphic Dishes and Tiles

In the height of my calligraphy obsession, I wanted letters everywhere. I was so lucky to have a willing partner in my friend Sandra Kavanaugh (now a painter but at that time primarily a potter). She did all the hard work so that I had a set of dishes and tiles in the kitchen The kitchen tiles use the bone alphabet that Jaki Svaren taught in Philadelphia.
