The last of the oak leaves, mixed with bittersweet in and around the candle holder my daughter gave me, at the Thanksgiving table. Next week it will be out with the brown and in with the green. I like to bring the green in slowly, a little bit at a time. Making things and decorating with nature are two powerful ways to deal with the consumerism of the holidays.
