First Day of Spring
in the midst of cold and snow
new light of lengthening days
new life of slowly swelling buds
spring
February 1st is the first day of spring in the Celtic calendar. While the temperature here in New England says winter, the light is saying spring. The days are lingering longer; the nights are getting shorter.
Let us take in the light that grows in the cold and snow and embrace the renewal that is spring.
