I am the host at the Newburyport Horticultural Society meeting tonight which means I am in charge of table arrangements and beverages. Here's what will be on the table. Our speaker is an herbalist, Christine Skibbee from Nurturing Remedies, so I chose dried lavender for the center and added hearts for Valentine's Day. The hearts were cut from trial printings from the Emily Dickinson series. And I'm testing a recipe for lavender lemonade. I chose one that uses frozen concentrate. If all goes well, that will be the beverage along with seltzer.

That sounds like a lovely gathering. I will be with you in spirit. There is dried lavender here, the paperwhites are over, and hearts abound. Thanks so much for including us in your life. I am really enjoying the valentine count up. and I have actually sent out over 60 valentines. About every 15 years I get organized and send them to all my family and friends.
