Studio Sunday-A Gift from my Father
I am making great progress in the studio clearing but it seems most appropriate on Father's Day to share this image of a weight made for me by my father. When we moved to Newburyport in 1985, I identified myself as a calligrapher with the name Studio Three Eleven for our street address. When I started making books a few years later, my father welded me this weight for pressing books. I am able to do what I do because of the support of three generations—my parents, my husband, and my children. Thank you to them all.
