Garden Conservancy Open Days

I love garden tours and have a willing companion in my friend Cathy. She is a member of the Garden Conservancy which works to preserve gardens. Every year they have Open Days when private gardens are open to those who purchase tickets to support the Conservancy. On July 14, we viewed four gardens in New Hampshire. A warm but inspirational day.

Inspiring! I'm absolutely gaga over the Japanese-inspired garden, and house, for that matter, drool. Thanks for the tour, I'm on my way to the nursery to buy a few plants to fill a couple of holes in my garden, and this tour reminded me of a few options!

The Japanese garden and house were incredible in their own right and made even better by the owner who took us in the house so we could see the garden from where he intended it to be seen—from the inside looking out. He was 87 and had started the garden when he was 62. A complete inspiration in every way. Hope you had fun at the nursery.
